How to Make Money From Blogging? The Insiders Tips

Fundamental number 1: Do you know who your readers are and what they want?

This is very simple yet hard to answer question because I finished writing it in one line yet you would need a great deal of research and efforts in writing the answer to it. I don’t want to make it sound complicated, so let’s get into a simple example. Do you know your wife or husband? What’s the connection? Guys, you don’t get paid for being in a relationship, Right! At least, mostly we don’t.

However, in spite of spending months and years with your partners in most intimate ways, we don’t know how to sell them our ideas on relaxing, shopping or even food. Am I right or am I right? I don’t want to gloat as I am a fellow searcher. However, you must understand your readers well enough to know what you can sell them before you start selling them.

Fundamental number 2: What is your investment in it?

The most successful people have made a lot in investment in their chosen vocation before it turned profitable for them. Be ready for mistakes, people because you need to make lots of them before you get success. You must learn and experiment with the business models, monetizing models, themes, SEO and content. The only constant element should be a genuine urge to help your readers. It works better than selling. When you have learnt consistently with the trends of blogging industry, you would have financially viable blogs.

I believe that there are a lot of details in those two that you would need to work upon. If, somewhere in your brain blog you are clicking on those points saying I have learnt everything and done everything and yet it’s not working then turn that upside down. Dear, there is so much to know, learn and experiment with in our industry that even the most successful bloggers don’t walk with that attitude.

As we jump into more crude elements of MMO with blogging, we must firstly understand that these are ideas in general. Don’t pick the first one you like and apply it. You must research it heavily i.e. more than just reading one article. Find out few details. What kind of business models are working successfully in your industry blogs? Why is it a profitable stream of revenue for them? What would be the most helpful form of business and monetizing model for your blog? Then hit the action button.

Making Money Online models that deserve your attention are as follows:

Advertising models:

Somehow people need to understand that random selection of these models would not be the ideal way of creating income generation models. Firstly, you must understand them through research them. The only criteria to understand these models well enough, when you can distinguish biased promotions and factual data about these models separately. I believe in some smart research before action. Understand your vantage points and challenges to create the profitable combinations of money making models as your income generation strategy. All I can provide is few initial individual points for basic insights on all the models from where you can start your application to your blog.

Advertising models:

There are various advertising models which reap great rewords if applied to suit your readers. Whether you are creating Google AdSense model, advertisements for text or flash links or in-content ads like Chitika, you must understand find the best model for your readers.

The types of advertising campaign:

There are various types of ad campaign models, which can create a good source of income if the ads are found relevant and value additions to your site and for your readers. The list of internet advertising models is as follows:

* Pay per impression:
These are well controlled model, which are generally chosen on the basis of your readership. These models would be suitable. The most important point in this scenario is to remember that cost per impression model refers to cost per thousand impressions as the industry jargon.

* Pay per click:
This advertising model allows the advertiser to pay the blogger on the basis of number of clicks on the site. These models can be based on the flat per month rates or bids as well. Google, Yahoo, MSN and other PPC providers get you in contact with numerous advertisers so you get option of choosing advertiser suitable to your blog’s content, concept and readers.

* Pay per lead:
This kind of internet advertising model is not used in every industry. Only certain industries are appropriate for this kind of advertising model. For example: insurance, loans, real estate and high end advertisers who would be able to work with these leads. If you have a blog focusing on some of the high-end industrial areas with few readers, this is right model for you.

* Pay per action:
This is extremely valuable form of internet advertising as in case of bringing relevance through certain strategic action plan to readers, blogger and advertiser. It can be a win-win situation for sure. Though the ratio of the action is lower than PPC or Pay per thousand impressions, it is more productive model as it is giving definitely interested and active readers to the advertisers who would be buying. So it makes up in the costing.

Content based advertising models:

There are various types of models you can create from this kind of system. However you must be careful to select it with clear thought, precision and benefits to your readers. Somehow, in the process of selecting models, bloggers end to forget that these content based models work with the trust of the readers on the blogger. There is no way to push your money making advances without considering the readers and their comfort. You must note the types of content based models for individual worth before inserting them in your blog.

* Pay per post
This types of money making requires you to register yourself upon PPP sites and apply for the ‘opps’ i.e. opportunities made available by the advertisers with their list of requirements. As long as the subject and requirements won’t jeopardize your readership, you would be able to write industry-specific and reader-specific content; you won’t find a reason to not make it profitable.

* Reviews:
There are a lot of companies that invite you to write reviews about the websites, products and services in your area of expertise. As long as you have an eligible blog and the authority, you can write a review and get paid for it and also provide value to your readers.

* In-text advertising:
It is a form of contextual advertising, where certain keywords from your content are matched with advertising or informative links in form of pop-ups and the hyperlinks on the text. The payment model is generally on the basis of the cost per click.

Marketing models:

There are other sources of making money through your blog. These efforts would take a lot more time and would give lot more credibility and results if you continue. However, it is essential to not consider these money making models as the only important part of your blog. They should be the part of big picture, which says that your blog brings value to your readers with or without these sales. if you are going to use these models effectively without offending the people who aren’t pursuing them, then they can be really worth your time and energy otherwise it is much more easier to stick to abovementioned models.

* Product selling:
Create your own product like and e-book, a tutorial, online counseling on your area of expertise, webinars, personalized treatments and actual products or services pertaining to your own industry. The list can be endless and very creative. It can add a lot of value to your blog and readers. The key is to do it without offending or annoying the readers who aren’t in position to use them. The more services you offer for free, there is an opportunity for you to create a wider customer base of people who want your products or services. If all you do is selling, no one is sticking with you because this technique damages your “All I want is money.” attitude doesn’t bode well with any of the readers.

* Affiliate marketing:
If certain advertisers in form of affiliate marketing are found beneficial to your industry or the core content of your blog, then this method has proven to show steady and productive growth. The most important aspect is to understand that that affiliate marketers of any web-based businesses and your readers have to see the link of relevance. For example, if you are a literature blog, Amazon affiliate could be applicable option. However caution must be taken to not push wrong buttons of your readers. You must credit intelligence and choice to your readers while attempting to make money through blogging.

* Donations:
There are bloggers that may have issue with this kind of system. If you do, then you won’t be able to project it with honor and authenticity. It is essential to not just drip the link in the corner of your blog. You must motivate to do it for reasons that would suit your readers. You mustn’t sound needy or desperate in your attempts. That is a non-negotiable part of monetizing your blog through donations.

I have few ideas that would give you some vision in terms of promotion as enlarging your readership or generating traffic is the best way of fastening your results through any of the money making tools you would be choosing. These last few ideas would help you take few actions that would influence your bottom line more than you know.

1. Credibility: Build credibility for your blog and your name as an online expert in your field. Your content should be professionally written i.e. no grammar or spelling errors. You should be adding your passion about the subject in your every post through uniqueness of your ideas and the help you are providing to your readers to come back for more. This means you should express your dedication to blog, your readers and your goal i.e. serving your readers better each day.

2. Activity: Don’t wait for your blog to reach the height of success to upgrade your blog to the latest technological advancements. If you are not as updated as the best-of-the-industry blog, then you would leave your readers with that impression that the blog and the readers are not important enough for you to keep yourself in touch with all the ways to reach them. So stay active on the relevant forums, facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, LinkedIn etc. Comment post on the other blogs that would give you not only links but also new associates from your own industry with whom you can exchange links and write guest posts \as well.

3. Commitment: There are times when all you need to say is that can I get back to you on that one. Instead of showing off your expertise all the times show your interest in your readers and their requirements. You should be working harder while reciprocating to the readers who are spending the quality and quantity time on your posts. You would have to select your peer bloggers and readers cautiously for that. However your perseverance and willingness to follow through on the concerns of your readers is not optional.

That’s it boys! I want to wish you all the best for this exciting and challenging journey because your efforts in making money online would lead to success, reputation and peaceful productive working environment for you, where you can make your own choices in life. Rock it, boys!

It’s a proven fact that every free offer has a limit. A search for an Internet business that won’t cost you some money could be a waste of time. The best opportunities come with a price. It is not an exaggeration that the best way to make money with money is through niche marketing. Wouldn’t you rather be a niche marketer?

Discovery of a Profitable Niche

Niche marketing deals with finding a particular field (niche) where there is a hungry crowd for a product or a class of products and then converting such human needs into sales. Millions of people go online to find products/goods. If you can convert some into loyal customers, you will be able to generate income for yourself.

First and foremost, getting a profitable niche requires a thorough keyword research with the use of free keyword tools. However, if you want to speed up your efforts in finding relevant key terms on your niche, buy keyword tools that will help you to find low-competition and high-traffic keywords.

Website Setup

Niche marketing, being the best way to make money with money, is best done with a top-level domain site. This is a stage where many people miss it through the use of a free blog or domain. Such offers are limited, and you will have great difficulties when your business eventually outgrows the resources allotted to you on such free networks. It is better to subscribe for a web hosting account from a reliable company.

After finding a niche word, you need to set up a website or a blog – it only costs a few dollars. As much as possible, the niche word should be in your domain name. The next thing is to determine how you want to earn cash with your domain. Here are 3 possibilities you can adopt:

Build a web store to sell products as an affiliate or as a drop shipper. The 2 ways by which you can do that are as follows:

Create a virtual shop with affiliate links and graphics that are related to your niche. For instance, you can set up an Amazon storefront, or a bookstore that has downloadable Clickbank products. Ensure that the review/description of each displayed product is highly compelling. Talk about the product’s benefits, not their features. This is because the question in the mind of a potential buyer is: “What’s in it for me?”
Create an e-commerce storefront where you can sell physical goods. Profitable niches for this option include electronic gadgets and women clothing.

Build a squeeze page to capture emails of visitors. Through a series of email messages, you can market your products to your subscribers. In this case, you will have to sign up for an auto-responder. A popular saying goes thus: “the money is in the list.”

Build a blog and post high-quality articles to promote your affiliate products. You can also use Pay-Per-Click systems like Chitika or AdSense on the blog. It’s advisable that you provide visitors with a subscription to your newsletter.

After setting up your site/blog, you need to promote it in order to get massive traffic. If you want quick results, you can opt for paid e-mail marketing whereby you pay a company to use their targeted mailing list. You can as well use Google AdWords to promote your site. Ensure that the visitors are directed to a squeeze page, rather than a blog. Alternatively, you can hire an SEO company to build targeted traffic for you, though it may take some time before you can see obvious results.

Niche marketing is definitely the best way to make money with money. It’s a gateway into residual income. You can start making money in less than 72 hours, if you can do it right! WordPress Plugins – Do They Enhance Your WordPress Blog?

WordPress is a great platform for very simple blogs but in order to give them a more professional look and to make them function more efficiently themes and plugins are essential.

Basically a theme is what makes your blog look the way it does whereas plugins take care of a lot of the functions behind the theme. Think of the theme as being the outside look of your car, WordPress itself as the engine with the plugins being the things such as the lights, indicators, warning lights etc that are good to have but not essential to run the engine of the car. I am no mechanic but you get the idea.

What are WordPress plugins?

I guess the simplest explanation is that they are a bit of code that make things easier to do or allows you to do things that without the particular plugin are very difficult to do and beyond the capabilities of anyone other than a person with a technical knowledge of WordPress.

Why use WordPress plugins?

They allow you do to do things with WordPress that without them would be either time consuming and may also require technical expertise in WordPress beyond that of the majority of WordPress users.

What are some examples of WordPress plugins?

Akismet is a popular plugin that checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments.” Without such a plugin your blog could easily become full of undesirable comments that you certainly do not want your readers to read.

All in One SEO Pack is Out-of-the-box SEO for your WordPress blog. You can use this plugin to tweak the default options for title, description, keywords and duplicate content.

Google AdSense, Chitika and Kontera plugins allow you to monetarize your blog and make an income from an information only blog.

Contact Form 7 allows you to create a “Contact Us” page with a form people can fill in for further information or questions about your products.

These are only a few of the many plugins you can use on your blog and it all depends on what you want your blog to do as to what plugins you need to install to make it work more efficiently and save you extra time in maintaining your blog.

6 Ways You Can Make Money From WordPress

Many people are asking the same question, “How can I make money from WordPress?” and “Why are people moving to WordPress as the preferred platform for their web publishing”. The answer is straightforward and simple, but the processes that are needed are highly technical and complicated.

Because of WordPress’ expanded and customizable capabilities through its plugin system, a lot of people have made it possible to make money from WordPress with just a few clicks. Here are some of the ways to profit from this blog platform:

1. Services
People who find the need for a specific type of plugin, create the opportunity for those who make them. If you can make a certain kind of plugin, that a webmaster needs, then you might as well put up a Business is Open sign. The demand for such plugins is steadily increasing as web masters and developers need to concentrate on promoting their websites.

One very good example of a plugin that is in high demand are the many incarnations of SEO plugins. SEO, makes it easy for publishers to get their content out in the web and in the sights of Google and other search engines. By creating a plugin like that, both you and the publisher can easily make money from WordPress.

2. Software
WordPress is a rather intriguing blog platform in that it can perform a host of various functions aside from the traditional model of blog publishing.

There are many companies that sell web based software based on WP as a Content Management System. These are very important for media companies who want to have an expansive web presence. Usually, rather than use the traditional model of boxed software, these companies focus instead on providing subscriptions that are paid on a monthly or annual basis.

3. Content
Of course, we should not downgrade the capability of WP to perform the traditional role of blog publisher. It is very good at it and more and more people are migrating from Blogger to WordPress.

One very good example by which people can make money from WordPress is through advertising. The notable blog utilizes all means to make this possible in many diverse ways. It even has its own job board where interested advertisers can look for bloggers who wish to earn money through writing. An advertisement usually costs about $50 USD a month.

4. Traffic
High amounts of traffic is monetizable through many other advertising platforms. The most famous of these is Google’s AdSense program. The program is straightforward and very simple. As a publisher, you earn a share of advertising revenue whenever a person clicks on an advertisement that is hosted on your WordPress blog.

A similar program you can use to make money from WordPress is called Chitika.

5. Affiliate Marketing
One of my favorite ways to make money from WordPress is through affiliate marketing. This is very similar to earning through traffic but the potential earnings are noticeably higher given that commissions are given whenever a lead, a click or a sale is generated.

This is also more flexible when compared to traffic based revenue because you can opt in and choose specific products that you want to endorse via your WP site.

6. Templates
People with a flair for graphics design can also opt to earn money by designing templates or themes. Unique and original themes are in high demand specifically due to the nature of blogs which is supposed to show your unique perspective on things.

4 Ways to Make Money by Writing Online

There are actually countless ways to earn cash through the Internet but this article will discuss four specific ways on how to make money by writing online. These methods appear to be too simple but several individuals are still without a clue as to how they are actually done. Some may even pay for products and services just to learn a thing or two which can actually be considered basic for anyone new in the world of earning money over the web. With that, let me offer a free overview on these four ways you can get paid online just by writing.

It is no doubt that the easiest way to use one’s writing skills to get paid online is through blogging. You can create your own blog through websites which support blogging. Some of which include Blogger or Blogspot, WordPress, and Tumblr. Most of these sites offer advertisement to be inserted within your page. You will get paid either on per view or per click basis of the ads. Some ad platforms include Google AdSense, Chitika, Infolinks, and Nuffnang (for the Asia Pacific region). You can also be paid just by writing about a certain company’s products or services in a method called affiliate marketing. Your unique identification will be embedded within the post and you will receive compensation for every referral which signs up or purchases goods through your link.

You can also write web contents, articles, press releases, reviews, and other types of content for websites, blogs, and online pages using your own identity or as a ghost writer for someone else. There are several marketplaces where freelance writers can find potential clients. Some of which include oDesk, Freelancer, Elance, Fiverr, and many more. You can also write e-books and have them published or sold through appropriate channels such as Amazon. Fiction and other literary works such as poems, short stories, and novels can also be published online.

Some companies will have you paid just by writing and posting comments or suggestions about their product or service. Overflowing words are not even necessary for this type of writing. Just bring your honesty and consumer skills handy when you leave notes. You may be asked to find related or relevant sites or blogs where your comments can be posted. A link redirecting back to the website or company being promoted will be embedded within your comment. Commenting is actually one of the methods used in Search Engine Optimization. SEO helps build a website’s rank in order to land higher in search engine (like Google) results for a specific keyword.

Forum Posting

Another SEO method called forum posting is also another means by which you can get paid online by writing. You write forum posts in existing threads or create new ones in order to promote a specific product or service.

These are only four few ways to make money by writing online. You will discover that a lot more can be accomplished by writing online as compared to what your pen and paper can achieve. A passion such as writing can be fun and financially compensating at the same time.

Blogging – Tips, Tricks & Hope For Beginners

I have heard a lot of talk about how the blogging market is saturated and how it is just too hard to make money unless you have a truly unique idea. If I listened to any of the negative talk out there, especially in the blogosphere, I would have quit my blogs a long time ago. The fact is, I do not listen to the nay sayers, I never have. I myself am a relatively new blogger on the scene. Having said that, I am starting to see some extra money in my bank account as a direct result from my blogging. Not nearly enough to quit my day job – yet. Needless to say, I am pleased with the results thus far, which brings me to the purpose of this article. If you are just starting out with your blog (a newbie) then listen up, this article is for you. When I started this blog approximately two months ago I hardly knew anything about blogging. I did not understand how revenue could be generated around a blog. As a result, I became a voracious reader of anything I could find about blogging. I read the Problogger book by Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett. The top two blogs I read everyday are:

(1) Problogger

(2) David Risley

I can go on and on about this, but the point is that I am a serious reader of anything blogging. This appetite for reading gives me tremendous enthusiasm for the craft. Knowledge is power. In my studies, I have come to know WordPress pretty well. Another topic is affiliate marketing. I did some research and filled out an application to display ads on my website for the following companies: (1) Google AdSense (of course), (2) Clickbank, (3) Chitika, (4) Amazon and (5) Kontera.

All of these advertisement companies reviewed my website and approved my applications. As a result I can display their ads on my blog and get paid every time someone clicks on their ads. Pretty cool? Yes indeed. I am currently working on an eBook which will be available for download on my blog when it is complete. There are other projects I am working on that will bring revenue to my site in the long run. The point I am making is this, that we should not rely only on ads and banners. When you are working on monetizing your site, the mindset, or focus, should be on how you can generate “multiple streams of income.” Another topic I am learning about is SEO, which is an acronym for search engine optimization. This is a vital part in getting traffic to your blog. The following is a list of the first four things I accomplished with regards to optimizing my site:

(1) One thing you will want to do is add your site to the following link: This will alert the Google bot to come by and evaluate your website for inclusion into the Google index. I would suggest you add your site URL to all search engines that you possibly can.

(2) Next register and get your site verified with Google webmaster tools. To do this you will need to log in at:

(3) Start tracking your site with data analysis using Google Analytics. This service reviews your traffic, how much traffic your blog is generating, where the traffic is coming from, etc. This is a great tool.

(4) Get a sitemap of your blog. This can be done in the Google webmaster tools screen. I have not done this with my site yet, however, I will do it asap. I have learned that the Google bot loves a sitemap.

These are some of the steps that I have taken, which have resulted in some extra money in my bank account. Not a lot, not enough to quit my day job, but enough to pinch me and tell me this is real. The evidence also suggests that listening to and acting upon what the probloggers are telling us is in our best interest if we are to succeed.

I wish you all blogging success.
